Naran is a medium sized town situated in the upper Kaghan valley in KPK province of Pakistan at en elevation of 2500 m. Surrounded by green lush mountains, the landscape is elevated with grassy knolls and jagged waterfalls with dense forest clinging to the top the area if truly ablaze trout here is truly a treat between the months of late summer and winter. The neon blue ribbon of river Kunhar meanders its way through the valleys and the splattering sound of the fast flowing river makes you quiver.

The temperature at Naran remains hot during the summer time and frequent snow falls during the winters keep the valley covered with snow giving away a spectacular view.

Saiful Muluk is located in the Mansehra district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, about eight kilometers north of Naran Kaghan
, in the northern part of Kaghan valley. Malika Parbat, the highest peak in the valley is near the lake.
